![]() ![]() Locally, Steve is the current President of the Jackson Township Chamber of Commerce and a longtime member of the Chamber’s Executive Committee. Steve is the Past President of the New Jersey Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture and is currently an Executive Board Member of the NJ Shade Tree Federation. Since then, he’s gone on to be a training instructor, teaching courses at Rutgers University’s Cook College campus and has been an in-house trainer for Department of Public Works crews and a consultant for Community Forestry Management Plans all over New Jersey. is a nationally recognized arborist and NJ Licensed Tree Expert who helps to run his family’s nearly 45-year old business, Aspen Tree Expert Co., Inc., located right here in Jackson Township.īefore stepping into a leadership role at the business, Steve came up through the ranks and learned the ropes like everyone else, from the ground up. ![]() ![]() An inductee into the Jackson Alumni Hall of Fame, Marty was also named Jackson Township’s “Man of the Year” by the Jackson Chamber of Commerce for his contributions to the town. Marty was also a member of the Environmental Commission, currently serves on the Planning Board, and was appointed to the Township Council to fill a vacancy earlier this year. Marty also served as a member of Jackson First Aid and on the Executive Board of Jackson Little League while his children were growing up. ![]() Presently, he is a member of the Whitesville Volunteer Fire Company and has been elected to the Board of Fire Commissioners for more than 20 years. He joined Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 in high school, serving three years as Treasurer and one year as President, rising to rank of Captain. More than just a businessman, Marty has been giving back to the Jackson community for decades. Marty is a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School and is married to Sheila for 40 years with five grown children, all of whom work in the family business, too. The store now has two related locations spread across Central Jersey. Since then, County Line Hardware has become a fixture in town for generations. A lifelong resident of Jackson, Marty Flemming took over his family’s small business – started by his grandfather in 1964 – just two years out of high school when his father passed away in 1978. ![]()
